REVIEW : KIDS GO MOSQUITO FREE WITH MOZZIGEAR

mozzigear-products

Kids and mozzies do not mix.  But keeping them apart is a challenge.  And what parent want all those chemicals near their kids anyway?  Never fear, Mozziegear is here and offer a variety of chemical-free options to keep your kids

I don’t know about your place, but at mine, trying to stop the mozzies can become an extreme sport.  That’s why I jumped at the chance to try out the new range of chemical-free & kid friendly range of Mozzigear repellants.

BEST FOR THE FAMILY : MOZZIGEAR MOSQUITO REPELLER
mosquito-repeller-2mosquioto-repeller-1 mosquito-repeller-3I’m completely loving the Mozzigear Mosquito Repeller.  It works by emitting an electronic pulse that keeps the nasties away for up to 3 meters.  We used this out the back to keep our deck free of mozzies, but the Mozzigear Mosquito Repeller would be as equally great in your nursery to keep the mozzies away from your sleeping baby.  You can set it up to work all night and it automatically turns itself off after 4, 6 or 12 hours.

The Mozzigear Mosquito Repeller is priced at $19.95 and comes complete with battery (which is replaceable).

BEST FOR KIDS RUNNING AROUND OUTDOORS : MOZZIGEAR MOSQUITO BANDS
mozzigear-2mosquito-band-1mozzigear-4We took the Mosquito Bands for a test run on a recent camping trip up north and I have to say I was sceptical at first.  Being a complete ‘Mozzi Magnet’ I couldn’t comprehend that a simple mozzi band could work better than coating ourselves in mosquito repellent spray.

After letting my son run around the campsite at night with his Mosquito Band on, I was then semi convinced that they might actually work since he arrived back completely bite free.  But it wasn’t until my husband put the band on his wrist after the kids went to bed and then he accidentally went to bed wearing the mozzi band that I realised they really do work.

I awoke in the middle of the night (a usual ritual getting up to small children) and when I turned the light on in our tent I was able to see a large mosquito hanging around the ceiling.  It must have been there all night but both my husband and I were bite free, giving the Mozzigear Mosquito Bands a big Made 4 Baby tick of approval!

Mozzigear Mosquito Bands in kids and adult sizes come in packs of 2 and 6, prices start at $7.95
(there’s also a glow-in-the dark option).

BEST FOR BABY : MOZZIGEAR MOSQUITO PATCHES

Made from non-toxic, natural ingredients, the Mozzigear Mosquito patches are great for babies & infants because they can be applied to clothing.  They’re suitable for newborns, just pop a patch on their blanket or wrap, even a nappy if the weather is hot, and they’ll be protected for up to 12 hours.

Mozzigear Mosquito Patches come in packs of 10 and are priced at $9.96.

WHEN IT’S TOO LATE : MOZZIGEAR MOSQUITO CLICK
mosquito-click-by-mozzigearmozzi-click-2 mosquito-click-1When the fight is over and the mozzies have won, whip our the Mozzigear Mosquito Click.  A couple of clicks reduces the antihistamines your body produces when you get an insect bit and reduces the itchiness, pain and inflammation.

We didn’t need any convincing because, as it turns out, I had purchased a Mozzigear Mosquito Click 12 months ago before a trip to Bali!  It seems like it may be too simple to be effective in eliminating the itch, but this Mozzi Click works really effectively.  I always keep ours handy to use on the kids if they are ever bitten.  The Click works a lot faster than any creams we have used in the past.

The sensation of using the Mosquito Click is like a tiny little ping or zap of electricity – not unlike a portable gas stove ignition wands.

The Mosquito Click will treat up to 5,000 mozzie, insect bites and jellyfish stings.  It has no expiry date and doesn’t need any batteries.  It’s suitable for your baby from 6 months.

Mozzigear Mosquito Click is priced at $19.95.

You’ll find Mozzigear at your local chemist, camping shop or online at Intelligent Health Systems.

But you don’t need to take our word for it.  Try it for yourself!  Thanks to Intelligent Health Systems, we have a Mozzigear prize pack to giveaway.  Valued at $99.70 our Mozzigear prize pack includes all the goodies featured above, plus a few extras for mum & dad.

This is fantastic. My daughter and I are prone to mosquitoes tracking us down and biting us repeatedly. Our bites become huge and red, very itchy and stay for a few days. We would certainly use and benefit from all of these products! I am so glad I now know they exist!

We currently used the clicker for bites and love it.

Hi Rosemary, The smell of the Mosquito bands is a little strong at the start but it fades very quickly and the band still works. The patch is a lot smaller which makes it great for baby’s blanket… also there is less smell. If you used the Mozzigear Mosquito Repeller then there is no smell as it uses an ultrasonic pulse… these are great!

Prevention is better than cure. Mosquito ( and sandfly) bites can be very painful, especially if you have an allergic reaction I am so happy that I can put a small patch on a baby’s blanket.
My only question is: how power is the aroma of them as one family member has a high sensitivity to “smells” because of acute Asthma?
