Recently Kate & I visited the Life in Style trade show in Sydney to check out what great new nursery products are on their way into your local baby store.  Here’s a sneak peak of our favourites …

We walked in the door & immediately spied the beautiful new Incy Interiors Teeny Cot.  A classic combination of blond wood (NZ pine) and either a white or dove grey finish, the Teeny cot will look beautiful in any classic or modern designed nursery.  Plus, there’s also a matching change table to complete the look.

The Teeny cot & change table are available from Incy Interiors now are are priced at $799 and $399 respectively.

On display was the new range of Silikids feeding accessories including a new ‘shovel’ design soft silicone spoon and clever straw tops and sippy tops which turn any glass into a straw or sippy cup.

The new Silikids range should hit the shops in the next 4 weeks or so.  A 2 x pack of sippy tops will retail for around $17.00

Alongside Siliskin was Nekerchew  and Comfortchew by Cheeky Chompers Aus & NZ.  These great products combine a chewy teether and a bib or blanket in one!  Available now at Little M.

Kate & I were both impressed with the new Puckababy baby nest called The Sleeper.  A new type of baby product, you tuck your baby in The Sleeper and gently rock them to sleep.  But I liked the potential to use The Sleeper in your pram bassinet to move your sleeping baby in & out your pram without disturbing them.

Stockists are being confirmed for the Puckababy range.  The Sleeper is priced at $160.

Kate was excited about the Belly Amour Boxer-Briefs.  They feature a ‘cod-piece’ (I kid you not), made from radiation reflective fabric to protect little swimmers (sperm). Apparently Kate’s hubby likes to tuck his phone in his belt or between his legs when he’s driving.  (Apparently men do this, I’ve not noticed but maybe I don’t pay enough attention!)

Details of the release of the Belly Armour range and pricing is yet to be confirmed.

Reusable food pouches are becoming very popular with lots of options on the market but we were impressed by the Australian designed My Squeeze pouch.  We liked the way the My Squeeze has a nice large opening and that it stands on it’s own for easy filling.  We also like the little lid which has ‘ears’ to make it easier to open for small hands.

Nutcase previewed their new range of baby sized helmets, Baby Nutty.  Designed for babies from 12 months to 3 years, these tiny helmets are super light and come in 3 cute designs.

The Baby Nutty range should be available from April and helmets will be priced at around the $89 mark.  (They will meet Australian Safety Standard for bike helmets.)

Next on the list was Mothers Corn baby feeding products.  Mother’s corn products are made from natural and biodegradable material called PLA (Poly Lactic-Acid) which is extracted from corn … yes corn!  Mother’s Corn are as strong and easy to use and are also biodegradable.

Our product of the show was the range of designer nursing chairs by new Australian brand Hobbe.  With 6 nursing chair and 4 ottoman designs to choose from, you’ll find one to fall in love with.  Hobbe are the nursing chairs we wish were available when we had our babies.

Hobbie nursing chairs start at $695 and ottomans at $279.  You can check out the full range at Hobbe online.

Keep an eye on the Made 4 Baby blog for lots more information on these new products and maybe a review or two.

Vanessa loves great design. Beauty, function and innovation get her excited. When she’s not hunting down the next big baby idea, she’s busy with her day job and being a mum to her 3 lovely boys.
