FREE FRESH FRUIT FOR KIDS AT WOOLIES

When I entered my local Woolworths store recently, I was delighted to see a stand at the front labelled ‘Free Fruit for Kids’.  It was filled with lot of fruit choices so we nabbed a banana and headed in to do our shopping.

Apparently, the ‘Free Fruit for Kids’ is a new initiative from Woolworths which, after a trial in South Australia and now rolled out nation wide.

I love it.  Not only does it encourage kids to eat more fruit, it also keeps them occupied when you shop.

Plus, if you’re really lucky, the kids will be less likely to pester you for a sweet treat if they’ve just snacked on a fresh piece of fruit.

Look for the Free Fruit for Kids stand near the fruit & veggie section of your local Woolworths store and snack-on!

Yes it is a great idea, but you can’t take them seriously until they take away the lollies from the checkouts! (yes the ones that are at child eye level).
